Obituary of Edwena Jennings

Edwena Jennings age 87 of Tazewell, TN was born October 5, 1931 and passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Claiborne Medical Center with her family by her side. 

She was a very faithful member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church for more than 60 years.  She mailed cards for all occasions and church bulletins to people in the community.

Edwena  enjoyed fishing, needle point, Gospel music and gardening. 

She was preceded in death by: 

Parents:  George and Pearl McDowell

Brothers:  James, Earl, Roy, Clyde and Ned McDowell

Sisters:  Opal Surber, Zula McNew, Margaret Clark, Ella Chumley, Lillie Chumley and Emogene McDowell.

She is Survived by her:

Husband:  Bill Jennings of 68 years

Son:  Tony Jennings and wife Stacey

Daughter:  Yvonne Estep and husband Jimmy

Grandchildren:  J.D. Estep and wife Whitney

                         Sarah Beth and husband Matt Rogers

                         Will Estep

                         Taylor Jennings

Great-grandchildren:  Izabelva Estep, Zayvalee Estep, J. Estep, Quinn Rodgers and Graham Rodgers

And a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive  friends Monday, February 25, 2019  from 5PM  till 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.D. Estep and   Rev. Eddie Overholt Officiating. Music will be provided by the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Choir and Terry Lock and the Great Grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11 AM in the Irish Memorial Gardens
