Ramsey, age 66 of Tazewell, TN was born on November 26, 1941 and passed away at the Claiborne County Hospital on January 15, 2008. He was a member of Straight Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Frank and Argil Ramsey Wife: Phyllis Ramsey 3 Brothers: Charles, Ed, and Wilson Ramsey He is survived by his: Daughters: Misty Ramsey and husband Scott of Tazewell, TN Judy Bussell of Harrogate, TN Jan Daniels of Morristown, TN Mary Kitts and husband Dale of Maynardville, TN Sherry Powell and husband Jeff of Tazewell, TN Son: Charles Langford and wife Amy of Tazewell, TN Brothers: Lon Ramsey and wife Vickie of Tazewell, TN Ben Ramsey and wife Laurie of Tazewell, TN And a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relative and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Poore and Reverend U.G. Daniels officiating. Music will be provided by the Straight Creek Singers. Burial will be in the Crane Cemetery. Pallbearers: Chris Bishop, Daniel Kitts, Danny Ramsey, Eddie Ramsey, Steve Sears, and Jimmy Banks. Honorary Pallbearers: Darrell Ramsey, Lavon Gulley, and Dale Kitts In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the family for funeral expenses.
