Obituary of Ethel M. Barnard

Mrs. Ethel Davis McDaniel Barnard age 91, passed from this life to her eternal home, Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born in Tazewell, TN. March 31, 1930 to parents Grover and Laura Reed Davis. She was saved at Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death.

She was preceded in death by her: Parents: Grover and Laura Davis; two brothers: Paul and Walter Davis; Her first husband: Leonard McDaniel; and her second husband: Jack Barnard; and her stepson: Rick Barnard.

 She leaves behind to treasure her memory: Daughter: Linda Faye Hagen and her special son-in-law Ronald Hagan; Stepson: Jackie (Vivian) Barnard; Two grandsons: Ronald Dewayne (Cindy) and James Dewight (Ada) Hagen; Five step-grandchildren: Gretchen (Joe), Jaclyn (Russell), Jackson(Chelsey), Nick(Sarah), and Kristi(Anthony); Three great grandsons: Brett, Isaac, and Dax; several step greatgrandchildren; Brother: Woodrow(Imogene) Davis; Nephew: Larry Joe Davis; and niece: Ruth Ann Smith and son Ben.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 5 PM till 7 PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10 AM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifton Wilmoth and Rev. Frankie Bolden officiating. Music will be provided by Brenda Bolden. Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery in Pleasant Valley.
