Obituary of Mary Lee Frost Short

Mary Lee Frost Short was born July 10, 1962 and passed away January 20, 2022.  Mary was saved and baptized as a teenager and was a long-time member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  Mary’s passion was helping others.  She loved being able to help people.

            Mary was preceded in death by parents Ervin and Elizabeth Frost; grandmother Ruby Taylor; grandfather Herb Taylor; brothers Bob Golden, J.C. Frost, Kenneth Frost, Ronnie Frost, and Clayton Frost; and sister Ruby Whelton.

            Mary was raised by Guy and Imogene Bunch since the passing of her parents at 8 years of age. She was preceded in death by Guy Bunch and leaves behind Imogene Bunch.

            Mary also leaves behind Dale Short, her husband of 40 years; daughter Ashley Short and partner Rachel Baker; sister Rita Bunch; brothers Charles (Donna) Frost, Eddie (Justina) Frost, Clifford (Robin) Bunch, Jerry Bunch, Ronnie Golden; special nephews Seth (Lois) Frost, Brian Bunch, Travis Bunch, Matthew Bunch, and Justin Frost; and special niece Alexis Kay Bunch.  She also leaves behind several additional nieces and nephews as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and beloved friends.

            In line with Mary’s wishes, a private family service was held in her honor on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating.
