Obituary of Gloria Geneva Barker

Gloria Geneva Barker, 77, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away December 24, 2021.

She was the daughter of Robert L. and Ina W. Ramsey and was born August 20, 1944 in Tazewell, TN.

Gloria and late husband, Basil C. Barker relocated to Madison, OH where they raised their two sons.

Gloria led an active life in Port Charlotte. She was a personal caretaker and food bank volunteer. She had many friends and enjoyed Bunco and Bingo. 

Surviving are her loving children, Anthony (Rusty) and Beth Barker, Travis and Lisa Barker; her adoring grandchildren, Rachel and Jesse Leuthoudom, Emily Barker, Anthony Barker and Ryan Barker; sister, Lois Wilson; sister-in-law, Peggy Barker Walker; many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Basil; siblings, Margaret Louthran, Curtis Ramsey, Norma Fay Campbell and Aileen Korosec.

Private services will be coordinated by Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home, 1106 Highway 33 South, New Tazewell TN 37825. Gloria will be laid to rest next to her devoted husband, Basil, at Keck Cemetery, Barker Road, New Tazewell TN.
