Obituary of Bertha Virginia Lynch

Bertha Virginia Lynch (Nee Shaw) went to her heavenly home on October 18, 2021 at the age of 91 years old.

She is preceded in death by her: Parents: William Houston and Docie Shaw

Daughter: Linda Faye Lynch

Sisters: Gladys Haynes, Mary Farmer, Nancy Smith, and Edith Lowe

Brother: Willard Shaw

She is survived by her: Loving Husband of 75 years John Edward Lynch

Only surviving sister: Eula Gray Cochran

Remembered by her children Brenda (Dick) Burwinkel, Sandy (Terry) Gamble, Tony (Betsy) Lynch.

Grandchildren: Lynda (Rick) Hopkins, John (Teresa) Burwinkel, Kimberly (Andy) Andrews, Will (Alexis) Gamble, Meredith (Dean) Will, and Christopher (Andrea) Mehall.

Great Grandchildren: Ashley, Erika, Matthew, Emily, Mary, Holden, Hayden, Max, Mason,

Parker, and Bennett and two great-great Cole and Derrick.

Special remembrance to Pamela Lowe, the “adopted” daughter for all her special care and love.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Lily Grove Cemetery Fund 1088 Locust Grove Road New Tazewell, TN 37825.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5 PM till 7 PM with funeral services to follow at 7 PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Day and Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating. Music will be provided by Glenn Hamilton.

Graveside service will be conducted Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11 AM in the Lily Grove Cemetery.
