Obituary of Denville Monroe Patterson

Mr. Denville Monroe Patterson, age 83, of New Tazewell was born December 20, 1937, and went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2021 at Tennova North Medical Center.

Den is survived by Daughters Shelby Smallwood and husband Elmo Ashley Lemarr and husband Darrell, Nadine Hopkins and husband Steve, Son Taylor Bell and wife Sharon, and Son-in-Law

Jerry Organ.

Grandchildren Jason, Shasta, Joey, Jennifer, Casey, Josh, Jordan, Meghan, Reagan, Franklin, Taylor Renee, Eli and Riley.

25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Della, daughter Sue, parents Jesse and Neva Patterson, brothers Horace, Genis, Wayne and Lon. Sisters Geraldean, June, Vern, and L.B.. Grandsons Jonathan and Jesse, and great-great granddaughter Raylin.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 6 PM until 7 PM with a memorial service to follow at 7 PM in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Sharp and the Rev. Tim Sharp officiating. Music will be provided by Jessica Jones and Family.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made for the expense of the funeral.
