Obituary of John Allen Richardson

John Allen Richardson age 93 of Harrogate, Tennessee was born August 25,1928 and went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2021. He was a man of faith and a life long member of Blair’s Creek Baptist Church. He took great pride in his faith, family and community. He was a devoted husband of 70 years. A powerful father to what he called his 3 beautiful daughters, and Great roll model and example to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is the rock we stood on and the arm we leaned on and always shared his many years of wisdom to each of us. He loved and enjoyed get togethers and expected all family members to be in attendance. It was required. Lots of food and deserts as well.

He retired from the well drilling business after 40 plus years. He loved to farm and enjoy gardening. His neighbors always shared that he had the most beautiful garden around. All rows were straight and even with no weeds in his garden. It looked like a picture from country living. He took great pride in his roses. They must be well groomed at all times. He and Milo shared a visit every day for a evening snack that always involved a piece of bread for Milo.

John was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Fannie Richardson. His brothers Marion (Barbara) Richardson, Jim (Jewel) Richardson and sister Betty Richardson, brother-in-law Clarence Mullins and son-in-law Ronnie Keck. He is survived by the love of his life of 70 years wife Corene M. Richardson. Daughters Mildred (J.W.) Campbell, Margie (Mike) Langley, Linda and the late Ronald Keck. Extra daughter Betty (Glen)England Hooks. Grandchildren Shannon (Wayne) Rice, Chad (Kristal Cook)Gregory, Johnna (Darrell) Ledford. Great grandchildren Cole Gregory, Logan Rice, Blye Daniel Ledford, Cole Ledford, Step grandchildren Josh (Amber) Keck and Lindsay Ricci. Step great grandchildren Bailey Keck, Joseph and Ava Ricci, sisters-in-law Brenda Mullins, brother Ray Richardson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 5 PM till 7 PM with funeral services to follow at 7 PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Overholt and Rev. Ronnie Pressnell officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 11 AM in the Fairview Cemetery.
