Obituary of Rev. Swann Bush

Rev. Swann Bush age 95 of New Tazewell born December 19,1925 went to be with the Lord August 7,2021 at the Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tazewell. He was a member of First Baptist Church of New Tazewell. He pastored numerous churches in TN and KY.

 

He is preceded in death by his: Son David Bush

Daughter: Connie Bush

Wife: Doshie Bush

 

He is survived by his: Loving wife: Avanell (Calloway) Bush

Daughter: Linda Peterson and husband Rick of Galax, VA

Sons: Cyrus Bush of Winston Salem, NC

Bennie Bush and wife Charolette of Williamsburg, KY

Sisters: Mattie Fox of Corryton, TN

Dorena Clapp of Chattanooga, TN

Grandchildren: Brian, Christi, Stacee, Jenny, Jonathan, Andrew, and Stephanie

Several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews

 

And a host of other relatives and friends to celebrate his life

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 12,2021 from 11 AM till 1 PM with funeral services to follow at 1 PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel the Rev. Bennie Bush officiating. Eulogy will be provided by Gary Harmon. Music will be provided by Cyrus Bush

 

Graveside services will follow in the Irish Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Duncan and the Rev. Todd Peoples officiating.
