Obituary of Shirley Smith Hatmaker

Mrs. Shirley Smith Hatmaker age 80 of Tazewell passed away February 17, 2021 at her home with her loving family around her. She was a member of Ypsilati Missionary Baptist Church. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age.

She was preceded in death by her Husband: George Hatmaker, Parents: James and Lola Smith, Brother: Henry Smith, Son-in-law: Douglas Carmack

She is survived by her Daughters: Theresa and husband Curt Fultz and Tamera Tucker, Grandchildren: Jason and Selena Carmack, Christ Hurst, Jeremy Carmack and girlfriend Brittany Prosey, Joshua and Chelsea Carmack, Amy Tucker and Destiny Fultz. Great Grandchildren: Nathaniel, Cayden, Riley, Cloey, Neyland, Anna, Maddison, Carley, Issac Carmack, and Weston Hurst. Step Grandchildren: Tammy, Glenda and husband Mark Mcintosh, Dale Fultz and girlfriend Beth Shipley and several step great grandchildren. Brother: Earl Smith.

Several nieces and nephews and host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 19, 2021 6 PM till 8 PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11 AM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doug Fultz and Rev. Jason Carmack officiating. Music will be provided Poplar Grove, Lonesome Valley, Freedom Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery.
