Obituary of Charles Owen Smith
Mr. Charles Owen Smith age 85 of Tazewell was born March 27, 1935 and went home to be with his Heavenly father February 17, 2021. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his:
Parents: Rev. Dewey Smith and Myrtie
Brothers: Oscar, Roy, Morris, David, and Jim Smith
Sisters: Eva Parker, Dorothy Maynes, and Shirley Shumate
He is survived by his: Wife: Virginia “Ginny” Smith
Son: Joe Smith and Grace
Daughter: Katie Smith
3 Grandchildren: Ciera, Paige, and A.J
1 great grandchild: Rayceton
Sisters: Opal and husband Jim McCauley
Betty and husband Bill Roark
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
The family will hold a private graveside service with Rev. Lawrence Fultz officiating.
