Obituary of Larry Wayne Monroe

Mr. Larry Wayne Monroe age 70 of New Tazewell was born January 18, 1950 and passed away August 19, 2020 at ParkWest Medical Center in Knoxville. He was saved while in the service at Okinawa and joined Lily Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1977. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Bernard and Etta Mae (Welch) Monroe Younger brother: Warren Monroe He is survived by his: Wife: Karen (Wilcox) Monroe Son: Benjamin Monroe Brother: David Monroe Sister-in-law: Cindy Monroe 3 nieces and families And a host of many other loving friends and relatives The Family will receive friends Friday, August 21, 2020 from 6 PM till 8 PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10 AM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brody Edens, Rev. Ronald Atkins and Rev. Jack Day officiating. Music will be provided by Darlene Ickes and Allison Clifton. Song leader T.C. Russell. Burial will follow in the Monroe Family Cemetery in Sharps Chapel.
