Mac was my business partner and friend. We worked together from 1984 - 1997 when he retired. Mac was ALWAYS fun, and he truly enjoyed life. He was also extremely bright. He always had to have the latest computer and most up to date software. He loved the challenge of conquering every new gadget . When Mac was in the office, you always knew it was going to be an interesting day . . . he was the "Big Fish" of the office.
When it came to life Mac was serious . . . serious about being a Christian and an American. He was serious about being a good husband and father. He was extremely proud of his military service in Vietnam. He shared a story with me about serving as a tank commander.
He and his fellow soldiers, in approximately 20 tanks, were moving causally down the road one day when suddenly there were shots fired and two or three of Mac's fellow tank commanders were shot and killed. They were being attached by the Viet Cong. They were all extremely frightened by this unexpected attack. They dropped down inside of the tanks and prepared to return fire. Mac was so scarred that instead of returning fire in bursts of no more than 20 rounds, as instructed because of the possibility that the machine gun might overheat, he fired all 200 rounds as fast as he could. He shot accurately up and down the hedge row where the Viet Cong were hiding. He fired so many rounds that the barrel of his machine gun almost melted.
When the firing stopped, Mac and his fellow soldiers cautiously went around the hedge and found that they had destroyed the enemy.
Mac served his country with pride and bravery. He put his life on the line for his country, the United States of America. However, when he returned home from Vietnam he still had his unique sense of humor. He still lived his love for life, his country, and his family.
I am proud and grateful that I was fortunate enough to have been Mac's business partner and his friend. The world needs more Mac Brown's.

I will miss Mac and his emails we shared back and forth. I was just talking to my boyfriend about him and saying we should go visit him. So sad I didn’t make it to meet him in person, but I know I will meet him some day in heaven!! Rest In Peace Mac, God Bless the family - sending prayers to Juanita, Jennifer and Scott.
