Obituary of Tim Bowen

Timothy Scott Bowen (Tim), 54, of New Tazewell, Tennessee, was born March 23, 1966, and passed away suddenly at his home on June 25, 2020. Tim is preceded in death by grandparents Tommy Argo and Lizzie Bowen and Malcolm and Hadley Walker of Sharps Chapel, Tennessee. He is survived by daughter Samantha Jade Bowen Atkins and son-in-law Ryan, daughter Emily Nichole Bowen, granddaughter Bella Rose Atkins, mother and stepfather Inez and Jack Brogan, father and stepmother George and Betty Bowen, sister and brother-in-law Tammy and Fred England, and grandmother Laura Lou (Granny) Walker. Tim was a dedicated father and grandfather to Samantha, Emily, and Bella, around whom his world revolved. He was a longtime employee of Homesteader, Inc. Tim will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Receiving of family and friends will be held at Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home in New Tazewell on Monday, June 29, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Kim Collingsworth officiating and obituary reading by Rev. Tommy Louthan. Pallbearers are Dave Morris, Bryan Welch, Rocky Walker, David Bowen, Greg Bowen, and Ryan Atkins. Burial will be Tuesday, June 30, at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery.
