Obituary of Wendell Reed Petty

Wendell “Doc” Reed Petty age 56 of Knoxville was born March 8, 1964 and passed away in his home May 28, 2020. He was employed with Southerland Wrecker Service in Knoxville. He was a member of the Tazewell Church of Christ. Doc had a passion for dirt track racing over 30 years. He owned and operated his own racing team and mentored many young drivers in the sport. Doc loved Ashlee T’ and Aubrey as if they were his on children. Kyle Prichard and Danny Sexton will be officiating. Music will be provided by the Hill Worship Team. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday June 2, 2020 at 2PM in the Irish Memorial Gardens.
